Senvion completes first phase of 350 MW wind farm in Canada
Senvion has just completed commissioning of phase one of the wind project Rivière-du-Moulin. So far, 75 of 175 Senvion MM82 and MM92 type turbines in a special cold climate version (CCV) have been installed and commissioned.
Prototype of Senvion 6.2M152 with the biggest rotor is erected
The project is a first for the company in two respects: blades of this size have never been developed, built, transported and assembled, and such a large rotor star has never been pulled and assembled. With a diameter of 152 metres, the swept area is larger than three football pitches.
Senvion wins 172 megawatts order for Portuguese wind farms
The project is called Âncora and forms part of a tender from the Portuguese government for a total of 400 MW from 2006.
Senvion wins 150 Megawatt contract for Canadian wind farm
It is the first time Senvion will be installing the 3.2M114, equipped with a hot-air de-icing system, on North American soil. The Senvion 3.2M114 turbines, each with a rated power of 3.2 MW, a hub height of 100 metres and a rotor diameter of 114 metres, are expected to produce enough electricity to power about 94.000 homes.
Senvion wins new order of 43 megawatts in the UK
Senvion will be supplying turbines to the A'Chruach Wind Farm in Argyll and Bute in Scotland, developed by Infinis Energy plc (Infinis).
Senvion launches 3.2M114 for Canadian market
For its launch in Canada, the 3.2M114 has been equipped with a full converter which facilitates its integration into various grids across Canada and the world.
Senvion has installed 111 multi-megawatt turbines offshore
The company reached this milestone with the nineteenth Senvion 6.2M126 of 48 planned turbines that are currently being installed at the Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm.
Senvion expands 3 megawatt series with 3.4M114 from 2015
The Senvion 3.4M114 and Senvion 3.2M114VG offer optimum yield at locations with average wind speeds. They are therefore particularly suited for the European core markets of Senvion in Germany, France, Belgium, Poland and Italy as well as Australia.
Dutch Success for Senvion

Senvion installs first offshore turbines for Nordsee Ost
After the planned completion in spring 2015, the Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm will have an installed capacity of approximately 295 MW, enough to supply around 300,000 households with power in a year. Nordsee Ost is thus one of the largest commercial wind power projects off the German coast.
Senvion and ENERTRAG sign contracts for 27 turbines in France
Senvion concluded four contracts with ENERTRAG, one of the major renewable energy suppliers in Europe for supply and installation of 27 wind turbines with a total rated output of 54.45 megawatt (MW) for four wind farms in France. Senvion will provide the full maintenance of the wind farms for 15 years.
Strathy North 67 megawatt confirmed for Senvion
This is the fourth contract with SSE and Senvion, and will see the manufacturer supplying turbines to SSE's major new Strathy North Wind Farm, near the village of Strathy in Sutherland, Scotland.
Senvion installs prototype of new 6.2M152 offshore turbine
With this turbine, the company is setting new standards for efficient electricity generation in offshore wind farms.
Senvion hits milestone: 10 gigawatt of installed capacity worldwide
Senvion installed more than 1.4 gigawatt (GW) of capacity in 2013 followed by a strong installation start in 2014 - thereby breaking the mark of 10 GW of capacity worldwide. This capacity is enough to supply 20 million people - or the entire population of Australia - with electricity for one year.
