Dr. Jürgen M. Geißinger, born on July 24, 1959 in Schwäbisch Gmünd, is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Senvion S.A. He joined Senvion on December 17, 2015.
Jürgen Geißinger started his career at the highly regarded Fraunhofer Institute of Production Technology and Automation, where he also obtained his PhD. From there he joined Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, before holding leading positions at ITT, an international industrial company. He was appointed CEO of Schaeffler in 1998, where he played a key role in defining and executing the firm’s growth strategy, including its highly successful expansion in emerging markets along with key acquisitions. After his departure from Schaeffler, he continued to advise a number of German and international industrial companies, and remains active on the boards of MTU Aero Engines and Sandvik, among others.
Manav Sharma, born on March 29, 1981, in Poonch is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Senvion S.A. He has also been CFO of Senvion GmbH since June 30, 2015.
Manav Sharma holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering along with a post-graduate diploma in Management, which he completed at the Symbiosis International University Pune, India. Following stints in business development, sales & marketing in ITC Ltd (an Indian conglomerate) and in the Business Advisory Practice at Ernst & Young, Manav Sharma joined Suzlon in November 2008 as Senior Manager and was subsequently promoted “Assistant General Manager – Strategy” in the Chairman’s Office, where he managed and led multiple projects in new business incubation, portfolio management of group investments, strategy, global M&A and business development.
The Supervisory Board of Senvion S.A. oversees the company’s Management Board and provides advice on all management issues. Frequent and open exchange between both boards is the basis for trustful cooperation.
The Supervisory Board consists of Stefan Kowski, Deepak Mishra, Ben Langworthy, Amol Jain, Matthias Schubert and Prof. Dr. Martin Skiba.
