Senvion has concluded its first contract in Norway for the supply of 33 Senvion 3.4M114 turbines to Egersund wind farm. The project with Norsk Vind Egersund AS will have a total rated output of 112.2 megawatts (MW) and will produce enough green energy to power more than 73,000 Norwegian households.
Senvion has signed a conditional contract with Elicio NV for the delivery, installation and commissioning of 21 Senvion MM100 for the wind farm Alibunar in Serbia. The installation is planned to take place in fall 2018 close to the wind farm Malibunar.
Senvion will deliver 32 offshore turbines from the Senvion 6.XM series for Trianel Windpark Borkum II. The conditional contract for the turbine delivery as well as service for the wind farm Trianel Borkum II (TWB II) has been signed with Trianel Windkraftwerk Borkum II GmbH & Co KG. After the planned completion in autumn 2019, the offshore wind farm will have an installed capacity of approximately 203 megawatts (MW).
Senvionpresents the Senvion 3.6M140, a new variant suitable for sites with medium wind speeds. Compared to the Senvion 3.2M122, the energy yield at wind speeds of 7.5 m/s is increased by up to 20 per cent. Senvion optimizes the aeroacoustics by equipping the blades with serrations for lower sound in all operating modes.

Senvion has signed definitive agreements to acquire the wind turbine nacelle production facilities and infrastructure, complete product portfolio suite, wind turbine inventory and the service operations of Kenersys India Private Limited, in Baramati, India, in order to further move ahead with its market penetration of its new core markets.
Senvion has especially adapted its 6.2M152 wind turbine to the floating offshore foundation developed by the EolMed consortium, led by Quadran. The French environment and energy management Agency (ADEME) has awarded EolMed for the construction of three to four Senvion 6.2M152 in the French Mediterranean Sea, for the first floating pilot wind farm in France which is intended to be installed and commissioned in 2020.
Senvion has secured a contract for the delivery and installation of 30 wind turbines with a total rated power of 60 megawatts (MW) for the wind farm of Tursi Colobraro with PLT Energia. Tursi is the largest project under the third Italian feed-in tariff auction system to date.
Senvion has closed a long-term support and cooperation framework agreement with PROKON for a total capacity of 100 megawatts (MW). In the first batch, four individual wind projects will be equipped with 21 turbines from the Senvion 3-megawatt portfolio, including the Senvion 3.4M140 for low-wind sites. The 21 turbines will produce approximately 173,000,000 kilowatt-hours each year.
The 3.4M140 turbine is the third prototype that Senvion plans with e-wyn GmbH & Co. KG for the Janneby site. The turbine is likely to enter operation in summer 2017.
Senvion has recruited an experienced local team to manage the Japanese office. The team brings several decades of wind energy and broader energy expertise to their new roles. Kazuhiro Tanaka, the new General Manager for Senvion in Japan has several decades of experience in the energy sector.
Senvion has concluded a contract with global wind and solar company Mainstream Renewable Power for the supply and installation of 93 turbines in Chile totalling 300 megawatts (MW). The turbines will be supplied for the Sarco and Aurora wind farms.
