In 1995, WES energy GmbH was one of our first clients. In the course of 20 years, we have delivered 137 turbines producing over 190 MW to WES energy GmbH, including several prototypes. Throughout that time, the business relationship has been characterized by a spirit of cooperation in service and innovation.

The challenge

Today, the wind park encompasses a broad range of wind power systems – from Senvion MD70 installed in 2003 and the MM92 to the 3.4M104. The wide array of various power generation technologies poses high demands with regard to service team expertise and availability.

The solution

Senvion won over operator WES with a full-service contract (ISP T with servicing, repair and availability guarantee). Senvion also assumes the financial risk in the event of shortages of turbine availability. The technical availability of the systems is monitored by Senvion‘s Turbine Control Center (TCC), thus enabling Senvion to act proactively to minimize turbine shutdown time. Moreover, the new service base „Averlak“, which is located only five minutes away from the wind park, was founded in 2014.

The result

Since the beginning of 2006, 11 systems are maintained around-the-clock within the scope of the full service contract, which will remain in force until 2031. A master technician at the „Averlak“ local service base is in direct contact with the client with regard to all operational measures and, together with eight fitters and a base manager, ensures consistently high turbine availability: in 2015, availability was an above-average 98.5%.
