Financial Success through innovative technology: Senvion Information Day
On February 5th 2018, the Senvion North America team hosted a VIP event for customers and C-suite level financial stakeholders. “Senvion Information Day,” a half day conference by Senvion’s Top Executives, provided an in depth overview of the company’s international business with a keen focus on its North American activities. The major subject tackled throughout the presentations was Senvion’s bankability through its proven international track record as well as its innovative modular turbine concepts and service guarantees.
Amongst the speakers was Senvion’s Chief Sales Officer, David Hardy, presenting the company’s outlook in mature and emerging markets, with a focus on North American activities and its path to growth. In support of Senvion’s market activities, Senior Vice President Product & Platform Management, Juergen Birnbaum, presented the up-and-coming technologies Senvion is working on. A main topic for the North American market is the modular concept of turbine designs, aimed to ensure that our technology fulfills and surpasses our clients’ expectations for higher yields while simultaneously reducing LCoE.

Mr. Birnbaum continued to expand on the notion that Senvion’s goal is to provide as much flexibility with its technology in parallel to offering the largest rotors, a varying size in hub heights and highest nameplate in the market. Finally, Senior Vice President Service, Hendrik Van Ritter, talked about the service products and provided a look into the comprehensive ways in which the operations and maintenance teams ensure the highest fleet availability for projects with Senvion turbines.
The final presentation was held by an invited guest speaker, Mr. Nuno Dias Andrade, Head of Project and Acquisition Finance for North America in Global Corporate Banking at Santander Bank. He presented the financial institution’s involvement with the company’s technology: “I’m glad I had the chance to talk about Santander’s experiences with Senvion across a few wind farms. I think it is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the company’s strengths and meet key people in the North American wind industry. I look forward to the opportunity of participating in more events like this.”
The Senvion Information Day highlighted the company’s commitment to ensuring customers’ financial success through smartly designed, modular, and reliable technology. The conference finished on a high note with a successful networking event where the attendees and executives got to mix and mingle and discuss the upcoming opportunities in the North American market.
