This year’s Clean Energy Summit a welcome boost for the wind industry
Senvion Australia was a proud supporter of the clean energy sector’s premier conference, the Australian Clean Energy Summit.
With the uncertainty around the Renewable Energy Target resolved, the mood at the sold-out conference was buoyant with attendees optimistic about the future of wind energy in Australia.
The recently appointed Energy and Environment Minister, Josh Frydenberg added to the positive sentiment in the room when he reaffirmed the Government’s strong commitment to the Renewable Energy Target.
A number of key themes emerged from the conference, including the need for long-term and stable policies to build investor confidence in the clean energy sector, and the need to reform the energy market to facilitate the inevitable transition to more renewables.
Senvion was pleased to launch the 3.4M140 in Australia at the conference. The Senvion Australia team is very excited about this turbine which is well suited to the Australian market with its low power generation costs and durable 25-year design life. As one of the quietest turbines of its class on the market, the 3.4M140 will also make it easier to comply with strict noise standards.
