Senvion signs 340 MW conditional wind turbine contracts with Mainstream Renewable Power in Chile

Senvion has signed conditional orders with global wind and solar development company Mainstream Renewable Power Ltd for 81 Senvion 4.2 MW turbines in Chile. The project scope includes the delivery, installation and commissioning of 37 Senvion 4.2M148 turbines for the Tchamma project and a further 44 Senvion 4.2M118 turbines for the Cerro Tigre project. Senvion and Mainstream signed a long-term full-service contract for the period of 20 years with the option to be extended.

innogy signs long-term service contract with Senvion for its 295 MW offshore wind park Nordsee Ost

Senvion has been awarded a four-year service contract of innogy SE for the Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm following a competitive tender process. Senvion has been responsible for the service of the in total 48 Senvion 6.2M126 wind turbines since their installation in 2014. The existing contract has been replaced ahead of schedule by a new service agreement which includes the realization of new service concepts such as joint service teams and sea-based services.

Senvion's total order book in India exceeds 1 GW

Senvion has signed a conditional 300 MW contract with alfanar on the supply and installation of 131 Senvion 2.3M130 turbines for the Bhuj Wind Project. The project scope includes a full EPC and will be commissioned in the second quarter of 2020. alfanar and Senvion also signed a 10-year comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) contract. When connected to grid, this project will generate enough clean power to supply the power needs of almost 290,000 households.

Senvion and Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions form strategic wind alliance in Japan

Senvion and Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation (Toshiba ESS) have joined forces under a new agreement that will see the two companies cooperating to market, sell, install and operate Senvion wind turbines in Japan. Under the terms of the mutually non-exclusive Cooperation Agreement, Toshiba ESS will be responsible for the customer interface and installation, with Senvion providing the turbine technology, operation and maintenance services and technical support.

Senvion appoints Yves Rannou as Chief Executive Officer

Senvion S.A. announced the appointment of Yves Rannou as Chief Executive Officer effective March 2019, at the latest. Rannou will take over from acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Manav Sharma role as Chief Financial Officer. In May Jürgen Geißinger stepped down in his role as Chief Executive Officer.

Senvion signs conditional contract in USA for 275 MW

Senvion signed agreements for the supply and commissioning of 275 megawatts (MW) of wind turbines with the TG East Wind Project that is owned by Taaleri Energia Ltd. NorthRenew, a renewable energy development firm, will co-develop the project with Taaleri. Senvion will supply 58 Senvion 4.2M140 turbines with a hub height of 110 meters as well as ten Senvion 3.2M114 turbines at 93 meter hub height. Commercial operations will commence in 2020. The agreements include a 25-year full service operations and maintenance contract.

Senvion signs agreement in Spain for up to 300 MW

Senvion has signed an agreement which includes the delivery of turbines for up to 300 MW projects in Spain with Alfanar, which received the largest wind allotment of 720 MW. The installation and commissioning is planned in 2019. The agreement also covers a 20-year full maintenance service for all turbines. This is the second agreement with Alfanar after signing 300 MW in India. Senvion will supply a broad range of products including the new turbine types 3.XM140 and 4.2M140, that perfectly suit the various characteristics of the projects spread across Spain.

Senvion leads Innovation-Consortium

The ReaLCoE project led by Senvion serves the strategic mission to develop the "Next Generation 10+MW rated, Robust, Reliable and Large Offshore Wind Energy Converters for Clean, Low Cost and Competitive Electricity". The team gathered around Senvion includes 14 major stakeholders (e.g. ABB AB, Danmarks Tekniske Universitet, EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, Jan De Nul NV) along the complete value chain of the offshore wind energy sector. ReaLCoE's vision is "to unleash the full potential of offshore wind energy to be in direct competition with conventional energy sources in electricity markets worldwide".

Senvion wins 101,2 MW EPC project from ReNew Power

Senvion has been awarded a 101,2 MW project from ReNew Power to deliver the Bhuwad Wind Project in Gujarat. The project will comprise 44 Senvion 2.3M120 turbines at 120m height which will produce enough clean energy to supply the power needs of almost 100,000 Indian homes.
